Hi chaps, After speaking to Gaz and a couple of you at the weekend I thought you might find a few of these useful for your spain trip. I did a solo trip in August/sept last year and these are the gpx routes I used. They are from various places, some from forums and some from wikiloc. The main one I based my route on was this: Spain RB5 west to east.gpx (283.27 KB) First night off the ferry (2.5 hours from bilbao) I stayed here: Camping Bolaso and booked in for 2 nights. I spent the day riding round the Bardenas area without the gear on and followed a route I made up from various ones off wikiloc: Day 03 - Bardenas 001.gpx (156.8 KB) Really good route - mixture of wide gravel tracks, sand and single track rocky climbs. Great views! A few days into the RB5 route I stopped off for a couple of nights at this campsite near Tremp: Camping Collegats . Good base for exploring some local trails. I did a route taking you high up into the mountians - great route, easy but amazing views Tremp High mountain route.gpx (73.31 KB) After this I carried on the RB5 route towards the coast then headed back through france. France I did on the road, so no routes for this. Without the extra nights camping and looped routes the RB5 took me roughly 5 days. Might be useful for you.

This is a route off wikiloc that I downloaded. Looks a good route as it starts not far from the coast on san sebastian: Trans Pyrenees
I can't upload it as it's 5mb, but you can download it direct from wikiloc. Got the smugglers route from a mate who lives in the French pyrenees. Good route from spain into france that he's done a few times: Andorra smugglars route 2014.gpx (502.09 KB)

I know some of you may have got the OpenSource maps for Spain and France that you can load onto your Garmin, but have a look at these. Topo Pyrenees Maps 6.1
They are very detailed for the whole of the pyrenees and graphically they are more detailed than the OpenSource maps. I found them quite useful, especially for finding tracks in basecamp.
